March 1-June 5 - The Sole of Birmingham: History of Sherman Shoes Exhibit
Birmingham Historical Museum & Park
Runs through June 5, 2010. Museum Hours Wednesdays-Saturdays, 1-4 p.m.

The exhibition explores and chronicles the founding of a family owned shoe business first in Detroit, and later its expansion in 1957 into Birmingham and the entire Metro-Detroit area. The exhibit features historic photographs, memorabilia, and vintage shoes from D. Larry Sherman’s personal collection.

Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for seniors, students and Birmingham Historical Society members. Tuesday, March 16 - Schoolcraft Collge is hosting a KIDS ON CAMPUS Open House
 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center at the Livonia campus.
 
The Summer 2010 Schoolcraft College KIDS ON CAMPUS program offer plenty of options to pique the interest of budding students. These unique camps and workshops in math, science, the arts, computers and career -exploration provid learning opportunities for 1st - 9th graders, as well as programs designated for "talented and gifted" (TAG) students.

March 26 - Center For Yoga 24HR GRAND OPENING
3:30 p.m. Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber Ribbon Cutting

The 24hr event includes continuous yoga classes, delicious Vegan food donated by Whole Foods and special gift giveaways. Yoga classes begin at 4:30 p.m. on March 26th with special 1-of-a-kind classes running throughout the night. The event will end with a special Mediation from 5:15 - 5:45 p.m. on March 27th. Center for Birmingham is located at 555 S. Old Woodward Ave. in Birmingham.

The event is free and open to the community. Donations are welome to support the Judson Center.
